Also a great tool for pears, the apple divider's soft, oversize rubber handles relieve and absorb the pressure from your hands for a nearly effortless cut. Comment:	Stronger, sharper, more ergonomically designed than what you are used to this one will outlive three of the cheapos. The handles really do a make a difference, particularly for the kids in the house that do the most apple-slicing.

Comment:	I like the design with the raised handles, but the cutting edge is flush with the plastic frame so the apples don't get get cut cleanly all the way through to the bottom. That means you need to turn the tool over and push the partially cut pieces through individually. For that reason alone, it's no faster than cutting and coring with a paring knife, but it's a good alternative. I use it to give my cutting hand a rest.

Comment:	I love this! It is so easy to use and cuts through apples like butter! I have never had one before, however my daughter loves cut up apples and this beats coring by hand.

Comment:	The corer doesn't cut all the way through the apple.. so I usually end up just breaking off the slices. Also, the handles flexes a little too much, wish it was stiffer. I'm afraid in a few months, I'll break off one the handles.
