Editorial Review

A perfect gift for new homemakers, the food processor has become an integral part of modern cooking, speeding up a multitude of processes, including kneading dough; slicing; chopping; shredding cheese, vegetables, and meat; mincing garlic and parsley; mixing batters; and emulsifying mayonnaise. Cuisinart's Custom food processor comes with a 14-cup work bowl; five basic attachments for slicing, shredding, chopping, mixing, and kneading; and also features two feed-tube options, one big enough to handle a whole potato. This processor comes with a compact cover for use when the feed tube isn't needed and a pulse control that allows the desired degree of fineness when chopping and puréeing. Remove the detachable stem for compact storage of discs. All the parts are dishwasher-safe and the motor base wipes clean. In addition, a custom-contoured spatula, a recipe booklet, and a 30-minute video designed to familiarize the new owner with the care and use of the food processor are included. --Victoria Jenkins

It's so fast and so QUIET. I like how heavy it is, that it stays in place no matter how much it works. This holds a surprisingly large amount of food! This size is perfect; any smaller would seem too small.

I had a Little Pro for 20 years and it worked flawlessly with frequent use. Clearly Cuisinart has cheaped out on the plastic parts (bowl, chute, etc.) because my DFP-14 only lasted a month or two before there were hairline cracks everywhere. Customer service didn't want to replace any of the parts for me - they wanted to sell me new (presumably equally crappy) replacements. Ugh.

I got this for my birthday at my request, and I could not be happier with it! It is SO fast! My only complaint is that the power cord should be longer. The 14-cup capacity is great- you can never have a food processor be too big- but it works just as good for small jobs too. I love the large and small pushers. I think it is really easy to use and start-up, despite what one reviewer said- I have never had a problem lining everything up to get it to work. It's a breeze to use and clean. And love the stainless steel look!

This baby gets a lot of use in my house! I love it! The base is nice and heavy, the motor is pretty quite considering, the saftey lock feature on the bowl & attachements is easy, the blades are beautiful & super sharp, the motor has a stop brake, so when you press stop, it stops on a dime! Quick & easy to clean. I love that I can get attachments for it. I find the instruction booklet is very helpful. It looks very attractive sitting on my countertop. I haven't had a single problem.
I have had many cheaper food processors over the years & it just isn't worth it! They all were so noisy I had to scream over them & always ran out of the room if possible, if not possible I put my hands over my ears. The others has smaller bowls & I could only do small amounts at a time. The others always had issues & some were very hard to clean.
My only regret is not buying this sooner! I highly recommend!
