Braun's Multiquick Professional improves on an appliance that's already highly convenient. With a 400-watt motor, this updated hand blender has increased power for faster and better results. A dial on the top of the handle allows you to select from five different blending speeds, giving you more control over the consistency of your purées. A turbo button on the front of the handle lets you immediately switch up to the highest blending speed. The hand-blender attachment has a unique blade that offers smoother and more even blending, making it ideal for puréeing fruit shakes, soups, or homemade baby food. In addition, the hand-blender shaft has an innovative antisplashing design that prevents food from splattering on your kitchen walls during blending. Other included attachments are a minifood processor with an antislip bottom for chopping foods such as herbs, onions, or meats and a whisk for whipping egg whites, cake batter, or cream. The set also comes with a tall lidded beaker that is a convenient shape for blending smoothies and for storing leftovers, and a wall holder for storage. Comment:	This is a powerful, versatile, and easy to clean piece of equipment. The cord is a good length and does not seem to get in my way. It has the power to crush ice, make good hummus, and blend just about anything. However, as I note below, it is NOT invulnerable, and that is to be expected. I purchased this to replace one that I had for a few years and burnt out (my fault, not Braun's). This one has a larger chopper than the old one, which is nice. It functions well as a small food processor. I do wish the smaller, higher button were the one that went to full speed, as that one is the more intuitive to press. If I want to use the variable speed feature, I have to make a mental effort to press the small button, and that is poor design. I also wish it still came with the more slender, stainless steel blending attachment. However, I still have the one from the one I burnt out, and it still fits.

Comment:	I looked long and hard for this model and am very pleased with the performance. Do not be tempted by cheaper, lower powered hand blenders. This makes it so easy to make my husband's favorite potato soup and to blend cooked puddings to a smooth consistency and I have only just started to find other uses.

Comment:	I've had this product for a month now and have used it 15 times. It is great for making pureed soups like butternut squash, mashed potatoes, Whipping eggs whites, etc. Clean up is a breeze with the removable attachments.

Comment:	Two years ago I bought the Braun Multiquick Professional MR 5550 M BC, which appears to be nearly the same as this newer version. It has been a dream to use. Easy and fast and quiet. Doesn't make a mess, or splatter. I like to cook a pot of split pea soup and then blend it down to just the right consistency--right in the soup pot! All, but the motor section, just pops in the dishwasher so clean-up couldn't be easier. It came with the wire whisk and I do find myself using that attachment also. I love this product and highly recommend it.
