Summary:A practical item

The Sunbeam hot shot beverage is one of the most practical easy to use electrical items I purchased. It is also economical.
The two things I would like to know before purchasing is the capacity - 2 small cups or 1 large mug of hot water and the length of the electrical cord - 25 inches long.
Overall I think this is an excellent item to have, and is probably best for a single person or college student to have while living in the dormn.

Been using the appliance since my Grandmother introduced us to Hot Shot in the older form in the late 80's. Carried it with on trips, sent it to college, and gave it as gifts over the years.
Recently had to purchase the new model and must say it is not of the quality of the older one. First new model lasted only a few months with the switch in the back going out first. If the second goes that fast may be looking back to the vintage tea kettle on the stove!

I ordered this item because the one pictured by Amazon showed the older model. It has more space for a taller mug. Drill Spot accepted the return promptly and courteously. Wish I could find the old model!

Great product. Have used one for YEARS. Great for office. I couldn't face mornings without this machine in my kitchen. Faster than a microwave. I hope they always keep this product on the market.

Love my new Hot Shot. I've had one for the last 10 years. So when my old one got a little rickety, I bought another. I like the sleek new look, and it works just as well as the old model. Only thing I question is the start button at the top of the unit, which you have to push hard to turn on. It just feels a little cheesy. I'll let you know how long it lasts.
