By using high-quality 18/10 stainless steel for this French press, Frieling has smartly sidestepped the problem of breakable glass carafes. At the same time, the pot is beautiful, sleek, and sturdy, with a mirror finish and a self-contained design. Plus, with no filters or power cords to mess with, you can brew and serve right at the table. The full-length handle is both comfortable and stable, while the all-steel mesh plunger mechanism can be used with coarse coffee grounds or loose tea leaves. Frieling's double-wall construction keeps hot beverages hot and cold ones cold if you use the pitcher by itself for milk or juice. All parts disassemble to wash by hand or go in the dishwasher. The press holds 33 ounces and stands 9 inches high. --Emily Bedard

| Summary: | Outstanding Product |
| Comment: | Finally a French press that cannot break! I've owned this since 2007 and it's still doing exactly what I bought it for. Solid construction. I could imagine using it for the rest of my life (and I'm 27). Looks great too! |

| Summary: | Quite functional work of art |
| Comment: | From the picture, it looks like it would be awkward to use, however, it is well balanced, easy to hold, and easy to pour. The insulation works, but is not nearly as well as my several brands of stainless steel thermal mugs. When I pour boiling hot water into the pot, the pot will almost immediately feel warm to the touch, but there is barely a noticeable temperature difference with my mugs. This is not much of a problem, because, if you preheat the pot, it will stay hot enough through the brewing cycle to make a great pot of coffee. To get a great pot of coffee with my glass press pot, I preheat the pot and place the entire pot in another pot of just-below-boiling water. (I used to only have great coffee on weekends.) |

| Summary: | No more breaking glass |
| Comment: | This french press has held up on me for over 4 years. After numerous broken glass french presses, I needed something more durable. I actually nicked my old linoleum floor the one time I dropped this one, but the press came through unscathed. The press portion is easy to unscrew for cleaning the inner layers, where coffee residue does build up over time. This product still cleans up very nicely over time, and is beautiful to look at so it's left out permanently as part of my modern kitchen decor. |

| Summary: | Liked so much I got another one |
| Comment: | I first had coffee out of a Frieling French Press at Thomas Kellers Ad hoc Restaurant in Yountville CA. I ordered one the next day. I use the press every day and love it. This press is well worth the money, I got the second one for when I have company. |
