Honeywell HT804 Super Turbo High Performance Fan, White

We needed a fan to distribute wood-pellet-stove heat through our big old house. We bought two of these (about $13 each!), and they have been working fine. They are not a glamour item (we got white), but they work fine.

I agree with a previous reviewer that this fan is horrible to clean. The only thing that has helped a little is using Q-tips, but even they can't get in all the way. If you want to get this fan, I recommend getting the black model - at least you won't see the dirt...

Somehow I must have gotten off of the search I was doing, because I was looking for a desktop fan. This by no means fits on a desk. It is bigger than I thought. Not so much in height, but it is thick. Takes up a lot of space from front to back.
It also is not white. It is more of a yellowish cream, so if chosing this over the black version to match a white room (like we did) is not a good idea.
I love the 3 speed options, although it would be nice if the slowest went a little slower. They are all pretty strong. I also like the ability to angle the fan, but I wish you could angle it down instead of only having options to angle it up.
Overall it is a great fan for the price, it just isn't exactly the color or size I needed for where I wanted it to be placed.

I love this little fan! It's super powerful for being so small. I live on a busy street and always need a fan on when I sleep for the background noise. This fan fits perfectly on my bedside stand and I only need to put it on the low or medium level. It will come in super handy during the summer as an extra fan as it could easily cool a larger room with all its power!

Any fan that you cannot open to clean is useless in my opinion. Unless you live in a place where there is no dust, this fan cannot be opened to be cleaned. It's impossible to clean without opening it. I've tried sticking handles with rags, dusters, etc. inside, because you cannot get the screws out to disassemble it. It has some type of bizarre screws that you cannot get out with any type of screwdriver or allen or star wrench. You cannot get in between all of the little slots to clean it with anything. It even says in the specs: "This item does not disassemble."
As far as performance, it works okay if you are just wanting a table top, close range fan. For instance, I have it sitting on my bathroom counter top so that I can have some cool air when I am getting dressed or drying my hair to cool down a bit. I don't image it would be good for anything more! It is extremely loud!
