Conquer all stovetop cooking tasks with this 8-piece cookware set. The cookware set includes a 10-inch fry pan, an 8-inch fry pan, 3-quart and 1-1/2-quart saucepans with lids, and an 8-quart stockpot with lid. Gordon Ramsay designed the set for his new cookware line in collaboration with Royal Doulton. The notorious chef imparted some of his iron-fisted tenacity into the set's design for durability and efficiency.

All pots and pans in the cookware set feature a tri-layer construction. A brushed 18/10 stainless-steel exterior, the first layer, combats dents, rust, and corrosion over the years. Beneath the exterior layer, an aluminum core assists in heat conduction and even distribution. The interior layer employs nonporous 18/10 stainless steel to prevent residual stains and odors. All round rims enable pouring from any side. To transport the pans, hollow stainless-steel handles are securely riveted to the pans' sides, equipped with hanging holes. The stockpot provides two hollow stainless-steel loop handles instead. Stainless-steel lids contain flavor and expedite cooking on the saucepans and stockpot. Chefs remove the lids by their riveted stainless-steel loop handles. Oven- safe, the cookware set sustains temperatures up to 500 degrees F. The set is also dishwasher- safe for user convenience. Set pieces stack neatly together and come in individual polishing bags for extra protection. A limited lifetime guarantee from the manufacturer covers this set. Upon shipping, the cookware set measures 21-4/5 by 12 by 8-1/5 inches and weighs 26 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

This cookware is very good. My wife and I just love the quality, cooking ability and of course the looks. Because the cookware is so good it causes you to relearn heat settings that we used before with our old starter cookware set.

I love this cookware! I'll admit it bought it through here for a really good price, as there's no way I could afford the current price. Since the set appears to be discontinued, I've been able to get additional pieces at a great price.

The reasons I love this set:

1) Even heating for all! It doesn't matter whether I fry an egg, cook rice, saute vegetables or sear a roast, everything cooks evenly with this set. The best example I can give is that the oil/butter I use shows an even distribution of heat before I put anything else in the pan. I've also yet to burn anything.

2) Heats up quickly. Though it's not quite as quick as a thinner pan, it does seem to heat quickly and holds the heat well. If I add items to the pan, there seems to be a quick drop in temperature but it comes back up within a short time.

3) Clean-up is a breeze. Since these are not non-stick pans, I expected to have to do a lot of scrubbing to clean them up. Was I wrong! Granted, I haven't used these for months and months, I haven't had any problems cleaning up anything. If something does get cooked onto the bottom of the pan, all I have to do is run it under some hot water with a nonscratch scrubby sponge and it comes right off.

My concerns:

1) The pots/pans are heavy. While I realize this does tend to signal quality it can be a problem when I have a full pan that I need to drain (i.e. pasta noodles). Since this set doesn't come with the pasta insert, I'm trying to figure out if I can buy another brand's insert to use with it. So far the biggest issue I've had is lifting the saute pan (I bought separately) when it was filled with veggies. The nice part is that the heavier pans do have helper handles on the other side to assist with this.

2) I'm a little concerned about long-term wear/quality. I say this because one of the pans that I purchased separately (a second 2 qt to supplement this set) was warped at the bottom. I wouldn't have noticed on a regular gas cooktop but since I have a flat ceramic cooktop, I noticed the pan wobbled. Essentially it was like a top, where the middle of the pan came down into a sort of point. I've exchanged it and had no problems since, so I can only hope this was an anomaly.

Again, this is the first nice set of cookware I've owned and I hope it will be my last. It comes with a lifetime warranty, so I look forward to using it for many more years. If my initial experiences are a true testament to this set's capabilities, the set would have been worth the higher pricetag for the long-term use/quality.

I really enjoy this cookware set, it has all the needed pieces for cooking any type of meal. The heavy slag of encapsulated aluminum transmits heat evenly and quickly and the stainless steel does not react with anything... While the heat transmission is great I do not use the high heat setting on my electric stove until the end after warming up the pan or pot. As for the handles they are sturdy and tightly riveted and do not show signs of flex, in other words they will stay tight a good three or four years down the line. The lids are equally well fitted and really adhere to the pot or pan when cooking making for a subtle dutch oven effect when making a meal. All the cookware can go into the oven and the heat transfer on the steel makes for a nice crust on bread or crisp outer crust on meat. The quality and build are well done not surprising when you consider who is putting his name on the cookware, plus there is a lifetime warranty. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I really love this set! I am starting fresh and needed something that wasn't a hand me down but was something that is a bit sturdier and really feels nice to use. So far they fit the bill greatly! The one draw back is that their are rivets on the inside so there is the slight possibility that food could get under there and is just harder to clean (reason for 4 instead of 5 stars). I do like the weight of them and am very glad to have these as my staples in kitchen ware.
