Great Product. This makes great coffee. Also, Amazon was extremely helpful in replacing one of the items that was broken in transit for free. Great transaction...once again, thank you Amazon.

I purchased this item as a gift. When opened, one of the free glasses was broken. I did not pursue this, as it was offered as free (so why bother).

The product itself is fine and works great. However, coffee snobs greatly overstate the difference between normal drip coffee and coffee from a french press. Unless you've got money to burn or want to look fancy you're better off just buying a nice coffee maker for the same price.

I bought 2 of these for gifts this past Christmas. They are large presses and come with 2 beautiful double wall glasses. Bodum products are topnotch and these like their other make a great brew. Family member who got one was extremely happy.

The only problem was that UPS shippers are quite rough with packages, even though my glasses arrived in bubble wrap, simply shaking the box you knew it was broken. Of my two one came smashed, but amazon quickly sent a replacement amazingly quick, and arrived on Christmas eve, but it was broken as well.

I was very happy with how amazon handled this matter with such speed, but Bodum should take notice to design a better box next time as broken glass is dangerous (almost cut my hand on one glass as I was taking it out of the bubble wrap to check it, the top lip was cracked).

NOTE: I only paid $19.99 for this set so my review rating is partly based on getting what I consider a great value for the press and 2 glasses.

The press brews great coffee and as a bonus it's pretty to look at on the table. I know it says it brews "eight cups" but they must be talking about a TINY coffee up if that's the case! If you use a normal-sized mug I guess you might get 4 fills and if you have one of those oversized mugs then maybe 3 fills. For that reason I would say this is a great item for 1 or 2 people, not a "dinner party" as the description says.

Overall something I'm glad I got at that price!
